Welcome!
My name is Kate Potter, I'm 24 and a graduate from SUNY Geneseo with a Bachelor's in Psychology and most recently a BSN from the Decker School of Nursing! I take my boards on July 3, and will finally be a real RN :).
My fiance Todd and I are just about to start our lives together in the greater DC area. It's a big change for both of us since we are from relatively small towns, but we couldn't be more excited about it.
The purpose of this webpage is to help keep in touch with friends and family and let them know what is going on in our lives.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Benefit
I'm getting married this October and it is now approaching 9 years since I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma at the age of 16. I am so thankful for every day and I feel strongly about giving back and helping others to become survivors too.
To meet my goal I am attempting to raise $4,000 in donations before running a half-marathon in Lake Placid this summer. The money I raise will go to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
I am running in honor of my uncle David who is currently battling leukemia, Jan Michael Keltz, and all others who are fighting blood cancers.
